It is a knee-length wrap-style garment usually made from woven wool fabric in a tartan design. It has deep pleats at the back and sides and is an important part of Scottish Highland dress. Read more about traditional kilt.

It is made from strong and durable worsted wool woven in a twill pattern. The fabric usually has a tartan design and is carefully pleated at the back and sides.

It usually reaches from the waist to just above the knee. Its length is typically around 24–28 inches, depending on the wearer’s height.

A traditional kilt is worn around the waist and fastened using straps or buckles. It is usually paired with a belt, sporran, and other traditional accessories.

First, wrap the kilt around your waist with the pleats at the back and fasten it using the straps or buckles. Then adjust the kilt so it reaches knee length and add accessories like a belt or sporran if needed.

Lay the kilt flat on a clean surface and smooth the pleats carefully, then fold it lengthwise from the front to the back. After that, fold it into a neat rectangle and store it properly to keep the pleats crisp.

It is made by measuring the waist and hips, then cutting tartan wool fabric and adding pleats at the back. The edges are hemmed, and straps or buckles are added.

Wash your kilt in cold water using a mild detergent and handle it gently without squeezing or twisting it. After washing, lay it flat to dry in the air to protect the fabric and keep its shape.
